The University entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Cambridge. The memorandum made the University the First sub-centre of the Cambridge University in India. The MoU was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Ms. Anuradha Gupta, IAS, and Mr. Rod Pryde, Minister-Cultural affairs, British Council Division, British High Commission, New Delhi on 2nd August 2007 in the Department of English, B.P.S. This MoU ensures that the students of the University will be given training and Certificates of Proficiency in English which shall enable them to meet the Industry requirements and seek jobs for themselves. To start with, the University shall give its students two examinations of the Cambridge University, namely the Business English Certificate (BEC) and the Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT). The BEC is valid in nearly 150 countries across the world as the Certificate of Proficiency in spoken and written English. The TKT on the other hand concentrates on the knowledge that a teacher of English Language should have. It focuses on the different ways of teaching, the language of teaching and several other aspects of teaching English Language. Moreover, the MoU also ensures that the students of the University and the Faculty members, if they want to appear for the examinations, shall enjoy fee concession. Secondly, the students of the University will not have to go to any examination centre to take the test but will take it here on the University Campus itself.
